Psalm of the Day

Psalm of the Day: It Is The Lord Who Sustains Me–Psalm 3:5-6

Psalm of the Day: It Is The Lord Who Sustains Me–Psalm 3:5-6

“With my own voice I will call out to the Lord, and He will answer me from His Holy mountain. I lie down and I fall asleep, [and] I will wake up, for the Lord sustains me” –Psalm 3:5-6.

As you prayerfully reflect on the words of this psalm today, allow the Lord’s promises be of great comfort to you: He will answer you when you call to Him! When you wake and when you slumber, He will protect you! It is He who sustains you! Things today may not go exactly how you hope or how you plan, but you can rest assured that, with Him by your side, things will go exactly as they should. Do not worry about how things appear in the natural. God has you completely covered in the spiritual. So today, and every day, and in all your ways, trust in Him. The good Lord, your Heavenly Father who loves you so, is sure to make all your paths straight.

Thanks be to God!

The Church teaches that David was a king “after God’s own heart” because: he prayed for people, submitted to God’s will, offered continuous praise to Him, and consistently (and humbly) repented of his sins. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, David, in the Psalms, is considered the first prophet of Jewish and Christian prayer.
