Miracle Prayer to St. Anne To Obtain Special Favor
Glorious St. Anne, filled with compassion for those who invoke you
and with love for those who suffer,
heavily burdened with the weight of my troubles,
I cast myself at your feet and humbly beg of you to take the present
affair which I recommend to you under your special protection.
Vouchsafe to recommend it to your daughter, the Blessed Virgin Mary,
and lay it before the throne of Jesus,
so that He may bring it to a happy issue.
Cease not to intercede for me until my request is granted:
(Here ask for favor you wish to obtain)
Above all, obtain for me the grace of one day beholding
my God face to face, and with You and Mary and all the Saints,
praising and blessing Him through all eternity.
Good St. Anne, mother of her who is our life,
our sweetness and our hope,
pray to her for us and obtain our request.
(pray three times)
Powerful Prayer to St. Anne and St. Joachim
Dear St. Anne and St. Joachim,
Parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
and grandparents of Jesus, our Divine Lord,
listen with pity to the petition which your
loving and trustful client humbly presents before you.
Surely dear Saints, you are both very dear
to the Heart of Him Whose beloved Mother was
your tender and devoted child!
Can He refuse anything to you, in whose veins
the same blood flowed which afterwards furished
the precious price of our Redemption?
Great Saints, nothing can be impossible to your
power and influence over the little Jesus,
“Who grew strong in grace and wisdom”
under the maternal care and direction
of your glorious Daughter,
the Queen of Heaven and Earth.
In mercy and compassion, be like Him
“Who went about doing good,” and come to the
assistance of your servant in this great necessity!
St. Ann, St. Joachim, dear parents of her who is
our life, our sweetness and our hope, pray to her
for us and obtain our request! Amen.
About St. Anne
St. Anne was the spouse of St. Joachim, and was chosen by God to be the mother of Mary, His own blessed Mother on earth. They were both of the royal house of David, and their lives were wholly occupied in prayer and good works. One thing only was missing from their marriage — they were childless, and this was held as a bitter misfortune among the Jews. After a long wait, when Anne was an older woman, Mary was born, the fruit of grace and then of nature, a child more of God than of man. With the birth of Mary the aged Anne began a new life: she watched her every movement with reverent tenderness, and felt herself sanctified by the presence of her immaculate child.
Ann had promised her daughter to God, and she, with Joachim, led their child Mary up the Temple steps and saw her pass by herself into the inner sanctuary and then saw her no more. Thus Anne was left childless in her lone old age, and deprived of her purest earthly joy just when she needed it most.
She humbly adored the Divine Will, and began again to watch and pray, until God called her to unending rest with the Father and the Spouse of Mary in the home of Mary’s Child.
