Sing Praises to Your Lord for as Long as You Shall Live–Psalm 104

Sing Praises to Your Lord for as Long as You Shall Live — Psalm 104

33 I will sing to the Lord all my life;
    I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.

34 May my meditation be pleasing to Him,
    as I rejoice in the Lord.

35 But may sinners vanish from the earth
    and the wicked be no more.

Praise the Lord, [all] my soul.
Praise the Lord.

The psalmist knew that singing praises (acts of gratitude) to the Lord, even in times of great difficulty, was the way to victory. Today, take your mind off your problems and instead thank God for all the good He has done; for how good He is. When we praise Him in the valley, He is sure to lift us out of the valley!

My Lord, the Creator of all of earth and Heaven, thank You for all You’ve done in my life. Help me to be strong and patient during times of trial and suffering. I know that all You do is for my good, and Your greater glory! Amen.”

[Read and meditate on this psalm today. Reflect on ways you can better praise Him in hardship. Reflect on the phrase, “Bless the Lord, O my soul.”]
