Many, Lord my God,
are the wonders You have done,
the things You [have] planned for us.

Many Are The Wonders The Lord Has Done – Psalm 40:5
Many, Lord my God,
are the wonders You have done,
the things You planned for us.
None can compare with You;
were I to speak and tell of Your deeds,
they would be too many to declare.
We know from the Bible that throughout history, God has acted powerfully on many occasions — particularly to preserve His people. We know also that Jesus performed countless spectacular miracles, and that the Holy Spirit has moved supernaturally on behalf of the Church for centuries. A power that still bears evident fruit in our world today.
Now think about the many wonders God has done in your life and in the lives of others around you. The psalmist was blessed because he knew the key to the Lord’s heart was praise, honor and gratitude: “Many, Lord my God, are the wonders You have done … None can compare with You; were I to speak and tell of [all] Your deeds, they would be too many to declare!” Like King David, it is wise for us to get in the habit of giving God the glory for all He has blessed us with — all the things we find too wonderful for words. Thank Him today for the interest He has show in you and for His constant love, goodness and protection.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we believe in Your power. Yet because of our faults, we sometimes forget to thank You for the grace and mercy You have shown to us. Sometimes we neglect relying on only You as well. Help us to use the strength that we have found through Your power to get through each and every day. Your wonders are truly too many to declare. Amen.
