What can mere mortals do to me?
“In God we trust.” This famous phrase was the phrase up until the 17th century and is still printed on US currency today. But the real question is: Is this motto written on the currency of your heart? Is this a phrase you believe in and can grab hold of in times of trouble and uncertainty? Whether you feel strong in faith today or not, strengthen it further by prayerfully meditating on this psalm verse. The next time you spend money, reflect on what is printed on the cash you are handing over. Because when it is in God you trust, you need not be afraid … belief in this seemingly simple motto has the power to set you free forever.
God, I trust in You. There are times when I don’t seem to hear You or am unsure as to where You are leading me. But in all circumstances and at all times I will choose to trust in You because You are a Father who keeps His Word.
