“My shield is God Most High,
who saves the upright in heart.”
Psalm 7:10
Psalm 7 – Who Does God Save?
My shield is God Most High,
who saves the upright in heart.
Have you ever wondered, “Who does God save?” If so, prayerfully reflect on this psalm verse throughout the day today. Read it over and over; meditate on every word of it. Think about the psalmists upright heart and unwavering trust in God even when he found himself in the most fearful and uncertain of situations: “My shield is God Most High!” The psalmist refused to put his trust in anyone or anything but God no matter what. Because of his faith, God served not only as his impenetrable shield, but His deliverer — giving to him the ultimate victory and freedom. The incredible thing is, the same God who did these things for the psalmist is the same God who walks beside you today. No matter what you are going through, stay faithful to God; trust Him. He is your shield, also; the everlasting Savior of the upright in heart.
