Know That The Lord Is God–Psalm 100:3-4
Know that the Lord is God.
It is He Who made us, and we are His;
we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.
4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving
and His courts with praise;
give thanks to Him and praise His Name.
What is beautiful about these two verses is that they speak for themselves. A healthy (and pivotal) reminder today that our Lord is indeed the God of the universe – our Heavenly Father above all else. If the devil whispers something else to you, rebuke him immediately. He is cunning and only out for the destruction of souls.
We are the Lord’s people; we belong to Him and it is He Who formed us in our mother’s womb (Ps 139:13; Jer 1:5; Job 3:16). We have so much to be thankful for. Think for example, we were chosen by God Himself to be born and experience life on earth! Enter through then His gates with thanksgiving and lift up your hands in praise (even when things are difficult). Give honor and respect to His Holy Name. With your faith and gratitude ablaze, watch how the good Lord will express His unwavering love for you in the most mysterious and wondrous of ways.
