1 Lord, how many are my foes!
How many rise up against me!
2 Many are saying of me,
“God will not deliver him.”
3 But You, Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
4 I call out to the Lord,
and He answers me from His Holy mountain.

Reflection
According to the Word of God, and in a world often divided, we will have enemies and conflict. We can count on it. And during these times, as King David pointed out, many will begin to question where their God is. But as the psalmist tells us, when opposition comes we are too praise even louder; to lean into our faith even stronger. We know Who our Lord is. He is our shield; our Strong Tower in times of need; our Provider, Savior, Vindicator … our everything. He is the One Who lifts our head high. No matter how tough times get, prove to God your faith by trusting Him even more. This faith is what will ultimately set you free. So if you are in troubled waters today, call out to Him and He will answer you.
Read and prayerfully meditate on this Psalm today. Take comfort in God’s constant hedge of protection around your life.
