But He replied to the man, “Who is My mother, and who are My brothers?” And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Heavenly Father is my brother, and sister, and mother” –Matthew 12:48-50.
The true ‘Royal Family’ consists of those who believe in God and do His will. Christ pointed out in this verse that His “true family” is His ‘disciples’–those who believe in Him and His teachings, and put them into practice. When we are faithful to Christ and His message, our relationship with Him is likened to that of family. This should give you great confidence! Through faith, you have become an essential and treasured family member of the one true (and eternal) Royal family.
