Trouble is no respecter of persons (Job 5:7; 14:1), and maybe you are passing through a time of trouble right now. The people who lived in Bible times were no stranger to the trials and tribulations of life either. But many were also well acquainted with the character of God—a loving, protecting Father quick to console His people. He comforted them then and He comforts us now. Today, your Heavenly Father wants to comfort you.
Here are 13 of the Best Bible Verses for times of trouble:
1) Psalm 121:1, 2
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of Heaven and earth.
2) Nahum 1:7
The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.
3) Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
4) II Corinthians 4:8, 9
We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
5) John 14:1
Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
6) Isaiah 43:2
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.
7) Psalm 31:7
I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy, for You have considered my trouble; You have known my soul in adversities.
8) Hebrews 4:15, 16
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have One Who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet He did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
9) Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
10) II Corinthians 1:3, 4
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, Who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
11) Psalm 138:7
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against my enemies, and Your right hand will save me.
12) Matthew 5:4
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
13) Psalm 55:22
Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.
May God Bless you and keep you always.
