Prayers for World Peace– By Pope John Paul II

“There is no evil faced that Christ does not now face with us” -Pope John Paul II.

Our world needs our prayers. Pray these powerful intercessory prayers over our world, leaders, neighbors as well as your own lives as often as possible. Never underestimate the power of prayer.

Prayer for World Peace– By Pope John Paul II

“O God, Creator of the universe, Who extends Your paternal concern over every creature and guides the events of history to the goal of salvation,

We acknowledge Your fatherly love when You break the resistance of mankind and, in a world torn by strife and discord, You make us ready for reconciliation.
Renew for us the wonders of Your mercy: send forth Your Spirit that He may work in the intimacy of hearts;
that enemies may begin to dialogue;
that adversaries may shake hands and peoples may encounter one another in harmony.
May all commit themselves to the sincere search for true peace which will extinguish all arguments, for charity which overcomes hatred, for pardon which disarms revenge.

Pope John Paul II’s Prayer for Peace

“Lord Jesus Christ, Who is called the Prince of Peace,
Who is Yourself our peace and reconciliation,
Who so often said, “Peace to you,” grant us peace.
Make all men and women witnesses of truth, justice,
and brotherly love.
Banish from their hearts whatever might endanger peace.
Enlighten our rulers that they may
guarantee and defend the great gift of peace.
May all peoples on the earth
become as brothers and sisters.
May longed for peace blossom forth
and reign always over us all.

Prayer for World Peace to Mother Mary–By Pope John Paul II

“Immaculate Heart of Mary,

Help us to conquer the menace of evil, which so easily takes root in the hearts of the people of today, and whose immeasurable effects already weigh down upon our modern world and seem to block the paths toward the future.

From famine and war, deliver us.
From nuclear war, from incalculable self-destruction, from every kind of war, deliver us.
From sins against human life from its very beginning, deliver us.
From hatred and from the demeaning of the dignity of the children of God, deliver us.
From every kind of injustice in the life of society, both national and international, deliver us.
From readiness to trample on the commandments of God, deliver us.
From attempts to stifle in human hearts the very truth of God, deliver us.
From the loss of awareness of good and evil, deliver us.
From sins against the Holy Spirit, deliver us.

Accept, O Mother of Christ, this cry laden with the sufferings of all individual human beings, laden with the sufferings of whole societies.
Help us with the power of the Holy Spirit conquer all sin: individual sin and the “sin of the world,” sin in all its manifestations.

Let there be revealed once more in the history of the world the infinite saving power of the redemption: the power of merciful love.
May it put a stop to evil.
May it transform consciences.
May your Immaculate Heart reveal for all the light of hope.

The Gospel of John: Peace be with you…

“On the evening of that first day of the week, when the doors were locked, where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them,
“Peace be with you.”
When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. The
disciples rejoiced when they saw the [risen] Lord.

[Jesus] said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”
And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them,
“Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained”
The Gospel of John 20:19-23.

May Peace forever be with you
