Most Powerful Prayers of Reparation to the Holy Face of Jesus

“Oh, you, who are My friends, and My faithful children, look and see if there be any sorrow like Mine. Everywhere My enemies despise and insult both my Eternal Father and My Church, the cherished Spouse of My Heart. Will no one rise up to console Me by defending the glory of My Father, and the honor of My Spouse, which has been so cruelly attacked? I can no longer remain in the midst of a people that will continue to be so heedless and so ungrateful. Look at the torrents of tears that stream from My eyes! Can I find no one to wipe away these tears by making reparation to My Father, and imploring forgiveness for the guilty?”
[Words of Our Lord to Sister Mary of St. Peter]
About Sister Mary
Sr. Mary of St. Peter, French for Marie de Saint Pierre of 1816–1848, was a Discalced Carmelite nun who lived in Tours, France. From 1844 to 1847, our Lord spoke to her about spreading throughout the world the holy devotion to His Most Holy Face. He also revealed to her, in particular, that the Father was greatly offended by sin, especially by the widespread violation of the first three of the Ten Commandments: the Holy Name of God blasphemed, and the Holy Day of the Lord profaned. Through this work of reparation to the Holy Face, God’s justice could be disarmed. He promised to imprint His divine likeness on the souls of those who would honor His most holy countenance, and He further promised that all who would defend His cause in the Work of Reparation by words, by prayers (see below), or in writing, would be defended by Him before His Father.
“Those who by words, prayers or writing defend My cause in this Work of Reparation I will defend before My Father, and will give them My Kingdom.”
He further explained that this Work of Reparation included “not only reparation for what is generally called blasphemy, that is, abusing the Holy Name of God, but that it also embraced reparation for all attacks against Religion and against His Holy Church (the Catholic Church), since these also constitute a form of blasphemy.”
The following is a collection of devotional prayers to honor the Holy Face of Jesus Christ our Lord in reparation for the insults and indignities offered It and His Divinity in our day, taken from the Autobiography of Sr. Mary of St. Peter called “The Golden Arrow.” This devotion is approved by the Holy Catholic Church and is elevated to the status of Archconfraternity. God bless you as you pray some of the most powerful prayers this side of Heaven.

The Golden Arrow
*This prayer was dictated by our Lord Himself to Sister Mary of St. Peter on August 26th, 1843. In her Autobiography, she recounted that Our Savior opened His Heart to her, making her see that “this frightful sin [of blasphemy] wounds His divine Heart more grievously than all other sins. Through blasphemy, the sinner curses Him to His Face, attacks Him publicly, nullifies his redemption, and pronounces his own judgement and condemnation … Blasphemy is a poisoned arrow continually wounding His divine Heart.” After that, Our Savior dictated the following prayer, which He called the Golden Arrow Prayer, saying that those who would recite this prayer would “wound Him delightfully,” and also heal those other wounds inflicted on Him by the malice of sinners. This prayer is the very BASIS and FOUNDATION of the Work of Reparation:
May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable,
most incomprehensible, and ineffable Name of God
be forever praised, blessed, adored, loved, and glorified,
in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth,*
by all the creatures of God, and by the
Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ
in the most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.
Amen.
Confraternity of Reparation
Our Lord also told Sr. Mary of St. Peter of His desire to have established a Confraternity of Reparation. This Confraternity would have a two-fold purpose, the first being Reparation for blasphemy and the second being Reparation for the profanation of Sunday, since these were the two principal sins which in modern times were provoking the anger of God.
“Therefore the new Association … would oblige members to refrain form all Sunday work themselves, and to do what lay in their power to see that others stop all unnecessary servile works on the holy days of the Lord.”
“Our Savior also desires that this Association be placed under the patronage of St. Michael, St. Martin, and of St. Louis (the crusader against blasphemy), asking that each member should say daily One Our Father, One Hail Mary, and one Glory Be, together with the Act of Praise, called the ‘Golden Arrow’. But on Sundays and on feast days, all the Prayers of Reparation are to be recited in order to make fitting reparation for the crimes committed against God’s Majesty on these days of the Lord in order to obtain mercy for the guilty.”
“Our Lord showed me [Sister Mary] this Association as an army of brave soldiers, uniting themselves to Him as their Commander-in-Chief, to defend the glory of His Father. It is His will that this militia be called ‘The Defenders of the Holy Name of God,’ so that this noble title should give evidence of the high calling of those enrolled.”
[Taken from the autobiography of Sister Mary of St. Peter]Offering the Holy Face of Our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father

Eternal Father,
turn away Your angry gaze
from our guilty people whose face
has become unsightly in Your eyes.
Look instead upon the Face of Your beloved Son,
in Whom You are well pleased.
We now offer You this Holy Face,
covered with shame and disfigured by bloody bruises,
in reparation for the crimes of our age,
in order to appease Your anger,
justly provoked against us.
Because Your Divine Son, our Redeemer,
has taken upon His Head all the sins of His members,
that they might be spared, we now beg You,
Eternal Father, to grant us mercy.
Amen.
An Aspiration to the Eternal Father to be Frequently Recited During the Day
Eternal Father,
we offer You the Holy Face of Jesus,
covered with blood, sweat, dust, and spittle,
in reparation for our sins and the sins of the whole world.
Aspiration to the Holy Face
This short aspiration is particularly beneficial for the sick and dying.
Eternal Father,
I offer Thee the Adorable Face of Thy Beloved Son,
for the honor and glory of Thy Holy Name,
for the conversion of sinners and for the salvation of the dying.
Offering the Sacred Heart

Eternal Father,
look upon the Sacred Heart of Jesus
which I offer to You as a vase,
that It might receive the wine of Your Justice,
so that in passing through this Holy Channel,
Your Justice may be changed for us
into the Wine of Your Mercy!
Amen.
Prayer to Reproduce the Image of God in our Souls

Our Lord told Sr. Mary of St. Peter that the image of His Holy Face is like a Divine Stamp which, if applied to souls through prayer, has the power of imprinting anew within them the very Image of God.
I Salute You, I adore You, and I love You,
oh adorable Face of my Beloved Jesus,
as the noble stamp of the Divinity!
Completely surrendering my soul to You,
I most humbly beg You to stamp this seal upon us all,
so that the Image of God may once more
be reproduced by its imprint in our souls.
Amen.
Prayer to Obtain the Settlement of all Our Needs
Oh, Eternal Father, since it has pleased our Divine Savior to reveal to mankind in our present century the power residing in His Holy Face,
we now avail ourselves of this treasure in our great needs.
Since our Savior Himself promised that by offering to You,
oh Eternal Father, the Holy Face disfigured in the Passion,
we can procure the settlement of all our affairs,
and that nothing whatsoever will be refused us,
we now come before Your Throne.
Offering to You, oh God, this adorable Countenance,
disfigured with painful bruises and covered with shame and confusion,
we beg through the merits of this Holy Face to obtain these,
our pressing needs.
Grant us pardon, Eternal Father, for the worst crimes of our age,
which are atheism, blasphemy, and the desecration of Your holy days.
May this offering of the Holy Face of our Savior before Your throne
obtain for us deliverance from these evils.
Send us, oh God, many vocations to the priesthood and to the religious life, so that by their prayers, their works, and their sacrifices,
they may spread the blessings of Your Church and confound Your enemies. Amen.
Prayer for Our Country
Eternal Father, we offer You the Adorable Face
of Your well-beloved Son, for the Honor and Glory
of Your Holy Name, and for the salvation of our country.
Amen.
Promises of Our Lord Jesus Christ to those Who Honor His Holy Face
1.) All those who honor My Face in a spirit of reparation will by so doing perform the office of the pious Veronica. According to the care they take in making reparation to My Face, disfigured by blasphemers, so will I take care of their souls which have been disfigured by sin. My Face is the seal of the Divinity, which has the virtue of reproducing in souls the image of God;
2.) Those who by words, prayers or writing defend My cause in this Work of Reparation I will defend before My Father, and will give them My Kingdom;
3.) By offering My Face to My Eternal Father, nothing will be refused, and the conversion of many sinners will be obtained;
4.) By My Holy Face, they will work wonders, appease the anger of God and draw down mercy on sinners;
5.) As in a kingdom they can procure all that is desired with a coin stamped with the King’s effigy, so in the Kingdom of Heaven they will obtain all they desire with the precious coin of My Holy Face;
6.) Those who on earth contemplate the wounds of My Face shall in Heaven behold it radiant with glory;
7.) They will receive in their souls a bright and constant irradiation of My Divinity, that by their likeness to My Face they shall shine with particular splendor in Heaven;
8.) I will defend them, I will preserve them and I assure them of Final Perseverance.
Additional Prayers of Reparation
Act of Reparation for Blasphemy and the Violation of Sunday
O God! infinitely worthy of all adoration and love,
I prostrate myself at Thy feet, filled with grief for the
blasphemies uttered against Thy Holy Name, and for the offenses committed against Thy Divine worship and the observances
of Thy Church.
O my God! this blasphemy is the profanation of that which is most holy
in the sight of Thine inaccessible sanctuary;
it is an attack upon Thine infinite majesty,
an outrage against the Face of Thy Divine Son,
a crime without excuse, without any other motive than that wickedness which hates Thee, O God, infinitely worthy of all love!
We beg pardon, O Lord, a thousand times pardon,
for these blasphemies. Would that we could prevent them
by the sacrifice of all that we are, or that we possess!
At least it is in the sincerity of our hearts that we desire
with all our power to combat this horrible crime,
and for all we hear or know to offer instantly,
by the merits of the Face of Thy Christ,
our humble and sorrowful expiation.
But that which is most grievous to us is that while blasphemy and infidelity daily increase, the adoration due to Thee diminishes.
Alas! now, even more than in the days of the prophet Ezechiel,
men neglect and profane Thy holy days because their hearts are given to idols. Slaves of avarice and of pleasure, they no longer have time for Thy worship or attraction to Thine altars.
O Lord! grant us the grace to make reparation for this contempt
and forgetfulness of Thee by the zeal and fervor of our adoration.
Vs. – May the most Adorable Name of the Lord be glorified forever!
Rs. – Amen!
Vs. – May the holy days of Thy Church be sanctified by all men!
Rs. – Amen!
Vs. – Behold, O God, our protector
Rs. – And look upon the Face of Thy Christ.
[Psalm 83:10]
Offering to the Eternal Father
O Almighty and eternal God,
look upon the Face of Your Son Jesus.
We present it to You with confidence to implore Your pardon.
The All-Merciful Advocate opens His mouth to plead our cause;
hear His cries, behold His tears, O God,
and through His infinite merits hearken to Him
when He intercedes for us poor and miserable sinners.
Prayer
O Lord Jesus Christ, in presenting ourselves before Your adorable Face,
to ask of You the graces of which we stand most in need,
we beseech You, above all, to give us that interior disposition of never refusing at any time to do what You require of us by Your holy Commandments and Your Divine inspirations.
O good Jesus, Who has said: “Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you,” give us, O Lord, that faith which obtains all, or supply in us what may be deficient.
Grant us, by the pure effect of Your charity and for Your eternal glory,
the graces which we need and which we look for from Your infinite mercy, particularly:
(Here mention the favor you desire … )
… Amen.
Be merciful to us, O God, and reject not our prayers when,
amid our afflictions, we call upon Your holy Name and seek
with love and confidence Your adorable Face. Amen.
We thank You, O Lord, for all Your benefits, and we entreat You to engrave in our hearts feelings of love and gratitude, putting upon our lips songs of thanksgiving to Your eternal praise. Amen.
Prayer for Sinners by St. Therese
Eternal Father,
since You have given me for my inheritance the adorable
Face of Your Divine Son,
I offer that Face to You, and I beg You, in exchange for
this coin of infinite value, to forget the ingratitude of souls
dedicated to You, and to pardon all poor sinners.
Offering the Holy Face by St. John Vianney – The Cure of Ars
Oh, my beautiful Immaculate Mother Mary, Queen of Sorrows,
I beg of you, by the inexpressible agony you did endure at the foot of the Cross, to offer to the Eternal Father, in my stead,
the Holy Face of your Divine Son, my Jesus, covered with
Blood, wounds, and other indignities heaped upon Him during
His Sacred Passion, and beg of Him to grant …
(Here mention the grace or favor you desire … )
Amen.
An Act of Reparation for Blasphemies Against the Blessed Virgin Mary
Most glorious Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our Mother,
turn your eyes in pity upon us, miserable sinners;
we are sorely afflicted by the many evils that surround us in this life,
but especially do we feel our hearts break within us upon hearing the dreadful insults and blasphemies uttered against you,
O Virgin Immaculate.
We desire to love you and to honor you with all our hearts,
O most holy Mother, since this is the will of God.
And just because we love you, we will do all that is in our power
to make you honored and loved by all men.
In the meantime may you, our merciful Mother,
the supreme comforter of the afflicted,
accept this our act of reparation which we offer you
for ourselves and for our families, as well as for those who impiously blaspheme you, not knowing what they say.
May you obtain for them from Almighty God the grace of conversion,
and thus render more manifest and more glorious your kindness,
your power, and your great mercy.
May they join with us in proclaiming you blessed among women,
the Immaculate Virgin, and most compassionate Mother of God.
[Now say the “Hail Mary” three times to conclude].
Prayer to St. Joseph

O most faithful Saint Joseph,
you who in your earthly life were ever faithful in keeping the law of God, grant that the day may soon come when all Christian people shall refrain from those works that are forbidden on Sundays by God’s law,
and shall devote themselves earnestly to the salvation of their souls.
Teach us, like you, to gaze with love and devotion on the Face of Jesus, and to give glory to God, Who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.
A Prayer for Priests
O Jesus, Eternal Priest, keep Your priests within the shelter of
Your Sacred Heart, where none may touch them.
Keep unstained their anointed hands, which daily touch Your Sacred Body. Keep unsullied their lips, daily purpled with Your Precious Blood.
Keep pure and unworldly their hearts, sealed with the sublime mark of Your priesthood.
Let Your holy love surround them from the world’s contagion.
Bless their labors with abundant fruit and may the souls to whom they minister be their joy and consolation
here and their everlasting crown hereafter. Amen.
