God Makes Himself a Child So You Can Know Him – The Epiphany: Luke 2

This will be a sign for you:

God Makes Himself a Child So You Can Know Him – The Epiphany: Luke 2

The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you Good News of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a Savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger” – Luke 2:10-12.

The message of the angels was both simple and beautiful: Enjoy the Good News of the coming of the Messiah.

The Good News today is that God is a giver who loves us so much that He gave to us His only beloved Son (see John 3:16). If you unwrap that infant in swaddling clothes lying in a manger, that is what you will find: Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the incarnated God. This was the sign the angels spoke of; and this is our truth today: God made Himself small and became a child. He lets us touch Him and be close to Him, and He asks for our love in return. No barriers, just unconditional love. In that Good News we can all Rejoice today and always.

During this season especially, rejoice knowing that God made Himself a child so that you could know Him personally. Hallelujah!
