The Lord gives strength to His people;
the Lord blesses His people with peace.
Prayerfully reflect on this psalm verse throughout the day today. Meditate on every word: “The Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blesses His people with peace.” When you are lacking in strength and peace, where do you turn? Who do you turn to? The reality is, only God can give lasting strength and peace. Seeking it out from the world may momentarily fill you, but it will not last. The only one powerful enough to give us the supernatural strength and peace we need is God. This is why the psalmist called the Lord’s giving of strength and peace a “blessing.” When you walk closely with the Lord, He delights in giving you the desires of your heart. He wants to bless you with everyday strength, peace and joy. So today, rely on the Lord’s promise. Ask Him (not the world) for the strength and peace you need … and through faith, He is sure to deliver.
