The Best Bible Verses for Encouragement

The world is changing at a faster pace than ever before. Because of this, we’re also having to adapt our lives at a more rapid rate than ever before. Whether socially, economically, environmentally, politically, or personally, the change of pace is palpable. It’s also unavoidable (Jn 16:33).

Change in and of itself isn’t necessarily a bad thing. In fact, change can oftentimes be a very good thing — breaking us free for example from vicious cycles of complacency or from former habits that held us back (i.e. conversion). That being said, there’s no doubt that hastened and unsuspecting change can oftentimes bring about much uncertainty and anxiety. And in order to combat these feelings, we need an antidote. The antidote, most assuredly, is encouragement. We need to be (and stay!) encouraged — always.

Thank the Lord above for giving us the best and greatest source of encouragement ever. The divine gift of His Word. The only printed Word on the planet that is not only transformational, but alive. God-breathed words quite literally have the power to transform a person’s life by way of promise and encouragement (I can personally attest to this!). And there is a very good chance you need to be encouraged today.

For this reason, The Best Bible verses for encouragement list has been hand-crafted — in large part because of how powerfully they’ve spoken to hearts and minds all around the world. I am confident that if you take the time to prayerfully read them over (or any Scripture verses for that matter), allowing each word to bathe your soul in hope and promise, they will, as they’ve done throughout the ages, inspire, motivate, and encourage you.

As you read these verses over, pay attention to which ones the Holy Spirit uses to get your attention. The ones that provide you with the most comfort and strength. And no matter what you’re facing today, remember this: as a believer in Christ, you have nothing to fear. Ever. No matter how things appear in the natural, you have the promise of Almighty God in the spiritual. He is equipping you to be excited about the future. God is with you, my friend, and if He is for you who dare be against you? So then, let’s get encouraged!
