Verse of the Day: Behold, I Make All Things New!–Revelation 21:4-5

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, wailing or pain, [for] the old order has passed away. The One Who sat on the Throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new.’ Then He said, ‘Write these Words down, for they are trustworthy and true’” –Rev. 21:4-5.

Jesus was very direct in saying that on earth we would have trouble (Jn 16:33). But the Savior of the world did not come to merely leave us with bad news. Rather, He came to deliver the Good News of hope, joy and a future paradise. In today’s culture, we are conditioned to try and minimize suffering and hardship. The problem with that is – suffering and hardship is unavoidable. The blessing is that it is through our trials — the cross — we find salvation, our eternal life. When our suffering is used for the glory of God, it produces our own “resurrection” of sorts – the supernatural and miraculous beauty of the Kingdom of Heaven both here on earth as well as in the life to come.

If you are going through your own season of suffering right now, fear not! Jesus knows exactly what you are going through. He is saying to you today, “Behold, I make all things new!” (v 5). Not only is He with you now, but He will be with you always. And where He is leading you there will be no more tears; no more death; no more mourning, wailing or pain … for the old order has forever passed away (v 4). Don’t try to figure it all out. All you have to do is trust in the God Who knows all things. The One Who loves you.
