“For Christ’s love compels us…” –2 Corinthians 5:14.
What compels you to do what you do? It can be said that anger compels a man’s heart towards hatred, while love compels the heart towards peace and kindness. Paul the apostle, one of the greatest Saints of all time, endured severe beatings, intense persecution, and hardship throughout his life – and he endured it all happily for one reason: ‘Christ’s love’ compelled him. If we allowed the love of Christ to fuel our every action, where would it lead us? Healthier relationships? Marriages that last? More peace? Answered prayer? Certainly more of Jesus. Choosing Christ’s love to drive our every decision might not always be the easy road. But it will always be the right road.
