Daily Devotion: Believing Without Seeing
When you are facing difficulties, problems, tough decisions or uncertainty, do you trust God completely? Do you place your life and the outcome entirely in His hands? Perhaps the question could be phrased: Are you believing without “seeing”?
Jesus came to confirm that God loves you unconditionally and that you can trust Him unconditionally. His divine care, help, protection and provision is unquestionable and undeniable. You are, as Scripture confirms, precious in His sight (Is 43:4) – the apple of His eye. Therefore, He will not allow anything to harm you. Everything that happens will work out for the good of those who love Him (Rom. 8:28).
With this assurance, you can trust God unreservedly with everything. With your entire life. And when you do, you will begin walking along His path and doing His will – trusting where He is leading you. And in return, God will show up in ways you never thought possible. He will bring you places you never knew existed. Not only will you be amazed at how merciful and good He is, but you’ll experience a peace and tranquility that transcends all understanding (Phil. 4:7).
When you can not see the complete road ahead, your faith is what will carry you through. No matter where you are today, no matter what is going on, trust completely in Your Savior. The One Who knows exactly what you need and where you need to go.
“Lord, please be with me in these dark moments of life. Please shine the Light of Your presence always before me so that I do not stumble. Apart from You, I can do nothing. Humble me and help me to place all my trust in You – and You alone. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.”
