A Prayer for Spiritual Communion
“My Jesus,
I believe that You are truly present in the Most Blessed Sacrament.
I love You above all things and I desire to possess You within my soul.
Since I am unable at this moment to receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as being already there, and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.”

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to His disciples said, ‘Take and eat; this is My body.’ Then He took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, ‘Drink from it, all of you, for this is My blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins'” –Matthew 26:26-28.
