Verse of the Day: You the Potter; We the Clay–Isaiah 64:8
“Yet You, Lord, are our Father.
We are the clay, You are the potter;
we are all the work of Your hand” -Isaiah 64:8.
Remembering who we are in juxtaposition with who God is is a sign of spiritual growth and humility.
Humility is a virtue held with high regard by our Father in Heaven; a virtue which merits great favor:
“Humility is [having] reverent fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life” –Proverbs 22:4;
“He mocks proud mockers, but shows favor to the humble…” –Proverbs 3:34;
“When pride comes, then comes disgrace; but with humility comes Wisdom” –Proverbs 11:2.
[Read and meditate on this verse today. Allow its implications to touch your Spirit. Trust the Potter with all humility; for He knows exactly what He is doing in your life.]
