Daily Devotion: Pray without ceasing…
There is no better day than today to rejoice and give thanks for every and all circumstance–even when we don’t understand–because, as First Thessalonians makes clear, “this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” And, if it is God’s will for us, who are we to argue? God sees all things at all times; He knows what is best for us individually as well as collectively throughout the world. We are wise to be at His service, honor Him in every area of our lives, and be thankful at all times repeating as Jesus did, “Thy will be done.” Today, listen for God’s voice and be sensitive to where He leads you by way of the Holy Spirit. You will begin to feel His mighty presence and magical omnipotence at work in your life. Regardless of where you find yourself today, or what may be occupying most of your time, find the time to lift your heart to God … even if only to say the mighty Name “Jesus.”
Thank you, Lord, for hearing our every prayer no matter how big and significant or small and seemingly insignificant. Thank You for blessing those who patiently wait on You in prayer and faith. Help us to always maintain a childlike trust in You — now and forever. Amen.
