There is no doubt, the United States of America needs our prayers. There is also no doubt that today, every country in the world needs to be prayed for.
Even if we cannot put our finger on exactly what “it” is, we know that something is not right. In our soul, we can feel something happening across the world that is seemingly out of our control … and the only thing the faithful know for certain is that prayer has the power to help mankind on a supernatural level. And be sure, we need a supernatural level of help. We need God’s help. Only He is omniscient, knowing all things at all times, and only He has the power to help the world.
Because many believe we are living in a “post-Christian era,” and it most certainly feels this way, we need to get serious about begging God’s mercy and praying. Pray pray pray, as they say. God our Father, Giver of life,
We entrust the United States of America to Your loving care.

You alone are the true Source of our cherished rights to life,
liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Reclaim this land for Your glory and dwell among Your people.
Send Your Spirit to touch the hearts of our nation’s leaders.
Open their minds to the great worth of human life
and the responsibilities that accompany human freedom.
Remind Your people that true happiness is rooted in seeking and doing Your will.
Through the intercession of Mary Immaculate, patroness of our land,
grant us the courage to reject the “culture of death.”
Lead us into a new millennium of life.

O God our Creator, from Your provident hand we have received our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. You have called us as Your people and given us the right and the duty to worship You, the only true God, and Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Through the power and working of Your Holy Spirit, You call us to live out our faith in the midst of the world, bringing the light and the saving Truth of the Gospel to every corner of society.
We ask You to bless us in our vigilance for the gift of freedom and religious liberty. Give us the strength of mind and heart to readily defend our freedoms when they are threatened; give us courage in making our voices heard on behalf of the rights of your Church and the freedom of conscience of all people of faith.
Grant, we pray, O heavenly Father, a clear and united voice to all Your sons and daughters gathered in Your Church in this decisive hour in the history of our nation, so that, with every trial withstood and every danger overcome— for the sake of our children, our grandchildren, and all who come after us—this great land will always be “one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
