The Lord Preserves Those Who Are True To Him – Psalm 31

The Lord preserves those who are true to Him,

The Lord Preserves Those Who Are True To Him – Psalm 31:23

Love the Lord, all His faithful people!
The Lord preserves those who are true to Him,
but the proud He pays back in full.

So often we put our heart and soul into other people, jobs or hobbies – the people and things we love the most. These things fuel us with energy, motivate and inspire us for a variety of reasons. So long as our inspiration is derived from that which is good and holy in God’s eyes, this is all a very good thing. But we need to make sure that with even more passion we are loving, praising and serving God! Our greatest efforts and zeal must go towards strengthening our relationship with Jesus, the One with the power to change our situation; who frees us from bondage and has the power to give us eternal life.

It is good to have passions here on earth, but we must take care that we do not put creation above the Creator. As Psalm 31 tells us, “the Lord preserves those who are true to Him…”. The Lord wants to bless us, and so long as we put Him first, all good things will flow from that relationship. Today, make a conscious effort to put the bulk of your energy into your relationship with God. Watch and see how things begin to change for the better.

“Jesus, we desire to put all our effort toward our relationship with You. You deserve all our praise, our time, and our energy. We are our best selves when we are in a close relationship with You. We humbly ask that today You would guide our passions by Your Spirit. Amen.”

(Psalms 138 : 6) states :’ God knoweth the proud afar off.’

Psalmist says,’ Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed. ‘(Psa. 119 :21)
