Verse of the Day: If Anyone Hears My Voice and Opens the Door, I Will Come In–Revelation 3:20

Verse of the Day: If Anyone Hears My Voice and Opens the Door, I Will Come In–Revelation 3:20

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me” –Rev. 3:20.

There is so much to love about our God. Mere words seem to do no justice. One particular quality that stands out … is divine perseverance. God will never give up on you. Ever. Even when your heart is distant or has grown cold, the door to your heart completely closed and locked, He will continue to knock. Gently and quietly waiting for your response. It’s not that Good needs us. It’s that He wants us. He chose you as His child, and no matter how far you stray He will pursue you. Yes, it is true – God does not need us. He want’s us. We, however, need Him. But the question is, do we want Him? There is nothing in this world as important as saying yes to this relationship. After all, nothing in this world is eternal. But He is. Today, listen for the whisper of His voice. The gentle knocking at your soul. If the door is still closed, don’t delay. Open it. And He will come in and dine with you, and you with Him. And life will finally have real purpose – now and forevermore.
