Verse 15

“My eyes are ever on the Lord”

Word of God:
My eyes are ever on the Lord,
    for only He will release my feet from the snare.

Prayer:
“My eyes will stay fixed on You, Lord, for it is only You
Who has the power to release my life from its current snare.”


Verse 17

“Relieve the troubles of my heart”

Word of God:
Relieve the troubles of my heart
    and free me from my anguish.

Prayer:
“Lord, I am troubled. I humbly ask of You today
to relieve the troubles I have in my heart. Free
me from my state of anguish. Thy will be done.”


Verse 18

“take away all my sins”

Word of God:
Look on my affliction and my distress
    and take away all my sins.

Prayer:
“Father in Heaven, look down on me with
eyes of mercy. Have pity on me. See my afflictions
and my distress. I ask of You, please take away my sins.
Restore me to Your perfect desire.”


Verse 20

“Guard my life and rescue me”

Word of God:
Guard my life and rescue me;
    do not let me be put to shame,
    for I take refuge in You.

Prayer:
“My Lord, rescue me from all that ails me.
Guard my life and put me not to shame.

Strengthen my faith, for I take refuge in You.
In You alone I take all refuge.”


Verse 21

“My hope, Lord, is in You”

Word of God:
May integrity and uprightness protect me,
    because my hope, Lord, is in You.

Prayer:
“My integrity and uprightness is only made
right in You, Lord. I humbly ask of You today to protect

me. Lead me in all Your ways. My hope is in
You and You alone.”


Anytime your soul is feeling heavy and burdened, turn again to these verses. Read them over slowly and with faith-filled intention. As you do, your spirit will come alive. Your emotions and feelings will no longer have command over you. God is with you, and through your faith He will set you free.
