5 Must Pray Fatima Prayers Given By Mother Mary and the Holy Angel of Peace
On May 13th, 1917, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal, with an urgent message for the world. She would appear five more times, on the thirteenth day of each month, with the final apparition taking place in October.
In this series of apparitions, Mary identified herself as “Our Lady of the Rosary.” She urged the three children to pray the Rosary every day for peace in the world (World War I was raging at the time) and to make reparation for sin committed against her Immaculate Heart (and the Sacred Heart of Jesus) as well as make sacrifices for the conversion of sinners.
Over the course of these visits—and the preceding visits, in which an angel prepared the children for her coming—there were five prayers taught to Lucia (10), Francisco (9), and Jacinta (7). 5 Must Pray Fatima Prayers Given By Mother Mary and the Holy Angel of Peace that we should also be praying today!

5 Must Pray Fatima Prayers Given By Mother Mary and the Holy Angel of Peace
First Prayer: The Pardon Prayer
The holy angel who appeared to the children called himself “the Angel of Peace” and “the Angel of Portugal.” He taught them to pray the following prayer:
“My God, I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love Thee! I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope, and do not love Thee.”
Second Prayer: The Angel’s Prayer
On one occasion, the three children saw the angel prostrate himself before a Host and chalice which was suspended in the air. Worshipping the Holy Eucharist, the angel from Heaven prayed:
“Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges, and indifferences whereby He is offended. And through the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners.”
Third Prayer: The Eucharistic Prayer
During the first apparition of Our Lady of Fatima, the children found themselves “moved by an interior impulse” (as Lucia later explained) to say the following prayer together:
“Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament.”
Fourth Prayer: The Sacrifice Prayer
The Blessed Mother taught the children to offer all their personal sacrifices to God by praying:
“O my Jesus, I offer this for love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.”
Fifth Prayer: The Rosary Decade Prayer
The Blessed Mother stressed the critical importance of praying the Rosary daily for the conversion of sinners and for peace in the world. She asked that the following prayer be recited at the end of each Rosary decade:
“O My Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy.”
Commit to Praying these Five Fatima Prayers

The five Fatima prayers listed in the above article — given to the three seers, Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta by Our Lady and the Holy Angel from Heaven — are a heavenly gift in helping us pray more effectively for poor souls caught in unseen battles raging us today. These prayers should be memorized and recited daily as we offer sacrifices for the conversion of sinners as well as in reparation for the many sins committed against God and His holy Mother.
Since these prayers are not widely known, it is not only wise but meritorious to share them with friends and family. Many miracles and conversions have been attributed to Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart, as she continues to intercede for sinners who come to know Christ’s mercy.
Let us also honor the annual feast of this most powerful apparition. May 13th is the feast day of Our Lady of Fatima, and October 13th is the anniversary of the “Miracle of the Sun.” In keeping the truths and requests of this apparition close to our hearts, we please the Blessed Mother — and, in this way, grow in grace with a zealous love for her Son, Our Lord.
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us!
Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on us!
