Verse of the Day: September 30, Psalm 40:2

Verse of the Day: September 30, Psalm 40:2-4

Surely, I wait for the Lord;
    who bends down to me and hears my cry,
Draws me up from the pit of destruction,
    out of the muddy clay,
Sets my feet upon rock,
    steadies my steps,
And puts a new song in my mouth,
    a hymn to our God.
Many shall look on in fear
    and they shall trust in the Lord.

“Thank you, Lord, for bending down to hear our cry. For drawing us out from the pit of destruction and setting our feet upon sturdy rocks. Thank You for steading our steps during times of blindness and for putting a new song of joy in our mouths. Many will soon look with fear and reverence on You, Lord, trusting in You alone. Until the day of Your return, today and always, we praise Your good and faithful Name.”
