Verse of the Day: Romans 8:26

Verse of the Day: October 9th — Romans 8:26

“In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”
Romans 8:26

The Holy Spirit is the ultimate gift given to mankind. It is he, deep within our hearts, that moves us to pray and assists us in doing so unceasingly. Through devout prayer and the intercession of the Spirit thereof — imparting divine wisdom, fortitude and courage — we are not only given the ability to comprehend the Lord’s will for our lives, but divine attributes which make it possible to bear all of life’s burdens with hopeful expectancy of everlasting life in Heaven.

Today’s Prayer:

“Lord, thank You for endowing us with the Holy Spirit. Fill us today with more of his presence; help us to share more intensely with Your redemptive mission. May he give us the strength and courage necessary to fulfill Your will in and through our lives. While we are weak and lacking in understanding, he intercedes with strength and wisdom. While we do not know how to pray, he intercedes with a howl understood only by Your Heavenly court. Thank You for this fathomless gift! Open wide our hearts and minds to receive all of him–all of his preternatural power–taking not one trace for granted. In great humility, we thank You. In the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we pray. Amen.”
